Paris Saint-Germain wins in penalty shoot-outs

The 2017 International Champions Cup kicked off July 19th with a clash between AS Roma and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan. PSG controlled the first half and Marquinhos scored the lone goal. Roma came alive in the second half. Roma forward Umar Sadiq brought the game to even with a shot between the goalkeepers’ legs. Roma had a couple of opportunities to break the tie, but couldn’t get the ball past Alphonse Areola. In shootouts, PSG outscored Roma 5-3 with Marquinhos scoring the final penalty.
