Indianapolis- Wednesday night October 29th the Indiana Pacers played their first game of the regular season against the Philadelphia 76er’s. The Pacers without the playing of starters Paul George, George Hill, C.J. Watson and David West it was up to Roy Hibbert and the rest of the Pacers to pull it together with the help of Head Coach Frank Vogel to keep the season alive. The pacers did just that with an impressive win over the Philadelphia 76er’s.
The Pacers got off to a slow start in the first quarter as expected by Head Coach Frank Vogel but signs of life showed up when Rodney Stuckey came in off the bench with only 2:02 left in the quarter and the Pacers down by 8 points to help put the Pacers up by 2 points at the end of the first quarter. Roy Hibbert picked up a technical foul with only 1:02 left in the second quarter after a flagrant foul by Malcolm Thomas, but that was only fire for Roy’s fuel for the second half.
The Pacers with a fired up Roy Hibbert had a strong second half of play as they beat Philadelphia 103-91 and proved they have depth and can compete this season despite the injuries and upon the return of the starters they will be a force to be reckoned with.
