Two days ago, on an ice rink not so far away….
It was a period of ECHL war. Brave Fuel skaters, striking from a hidden locker room, hoped to win their first victory against the evil Reading empire.
During the first period battle, Indy’s Rhett Bly and Kirill Gotovets managed to steal 2 goals from the Royals, despite their ultimate weapon, goalie Martin Ouellette. The Fuel took a direct hit near the end of the first, with a rebound shot that was fired past goaltender Mac Carruth.
The late portion of both the second and third periods proved to be absolutely devastating for our heroes. With a barrage of firepower large enough to destroy an entire planet, Reading decimated Indy’s defenses with 4 goals. Dillon Fournier appeared to be the Fuel’s only hope with a last-minute goal during the final period.
Although only 2 meters wide, Indy’s empty net was useless against Reading’s blasters, as one last puck found its mark and sealed the 6-4 fate of the Fuel and its courageous freedom fighters.
Join the team again on Friday night, against the scum and villainy of the Toledo Walleye, when the Indy Fuel once again try to defeat evil and restore freedom to the galaxy….
