The Boys in Blue are back for another year with an entirely new look–new league, new players, new venue. It truly felt like the ‘big time’ had come to Indy as the team took the pitch inside the cavernous Lucas Oil Stadium. The first half was tightly contested and lot more physical than I remember most NASL games. Good chances and good saves on both ends saw us into the break at 0-0. A rebound off of a spectacular save in the second half put the Eleven behind 1-0. After the goal, it looked like FC Cinci became a viking shield-wall, as the pace of play slowed to a crawl as Indy tried to find cracks in the armor. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be, and the Eleven took their first USL defeat at home.
