With a final regular-season win against the Kalamazoo Wings, the Indy Fuel are one step closer to ECHL playoff position. The Fuel travel for two more regular season games, and just two points shy of the playoffs. The first period was almost scoreless, but Fuel’s Kirill Gotovets scored with 3 minutes left in the period. The second period brought goals by Stroh and Jones, as well as a tough physical battle against Kalamazoo, ending with a 3-2 lead by Indy. Kalamazoo’s Kovacs forces the match into overtime. Holl scored the winning goal to earn a 4-3 victory for the Fuel. The team was supported by goalie Carruth, with 24 saves.
The Fuel will face the Reading Royals on April 10th…on their road to the playoffs.
