The Fever score a franchise second-best total, defeating the Atlanta Dream at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on August 2nd.
Indiana looked offensively sharp with only ten turnovers, and red hot, shooting 45% (31 of 68) from the field, and another +90% from the free-throw line (40 of 44). Defensively, the Fever tallied fourteen steals.
With the score tied 30-30 after the first quarter, the Fever slowly build momentum. Briann January scores ten, helping the Fever to a 47-40 lead at the half.
Atlanta had no answers in the second half, as the home Fever pushes the lead to 31 late.
Atlanta’s Angel McCoughtry leads all scorers with 23 points and eight boards, but 26 team turnovers helped Indiana keep out of reach.
Indiana had five in double-figures, led by Marissa Coleman with 19 and Tamika Catchings’s 18 points.
The Fever remain in fourth spot in the Eastern Conference, a half-game behind Chicago and Washington. Indiana (12-9) travels to Washington DC to face the Mystics (12-8) on Tuesday August 11th.
