AVON- It wasn’t much of a contest in Avon’s 41-0 win over Plainfield last Friday. But it’s almost expected from a team ranked in the Top 5 in the state, with University of Michigan committed quarterback Brandon Peters leading the charge. Peters threw for 247 yards and completed over 70 percent of his passes for five touchdowns against the Quakers. Avon put it on early, scoring 28 in the first half (including 21 in the second quarter alone).
But looking forward to one of the highest profile games in the state, tonight the Orioles travel just west to Ben Davis. It’s a game between two teams in the Top 5, making for one of the biggest games of the season. And then the following Friday, Avon will travel to Hamilton Southeastern. Then Avon will play host to Brownsburg on September 11th and that game will be aired on ESPNU at 8 p.m.
